Guatemala Organic Huehuetenango ASOPCE SHB EP

Coffee cultivation and export in Huehuetenango, Guatemala face challenges due to rugged terrain and extreme weather. To overcome these obstacles, more than 450 small farming families work together through the ASOPCE cooperative. Each family carefully processes their coffee using their own micro-mill, allowing close control over quality. ASOPCE also provides centralized storage, export logistics support, and technical assistance on best farming practices. By producing organic fertilizer from coffee pulp, farmers reduce transportation costs while improving crop yield and coffee quality.
